The short version: probably the nicest dedicated tool for a team wiki today — as long as a wiki is all you need. Outline occupies a sweet spot the giants ignore: Confluence is enterprise sprawl, Notion is a workspace-everything with docs somewhere inside, and Outline just does a knowledge base — fast, clean, with an editor that never makes you wait. Ten thousand commits and a decade of polish show; the recent AI search finally fixed the historical weak spot of finding things. Self-hosted via Docker it's one of the best values in team tooling.
