Description
Screen sharing usually means downloading an app, creating an account, or opening a full video-call platform just to show someone your screen for two minutes. Sharry skips all of that: it runs entirely in the browser using WebRTC, so both sides just need a modern browser and a session link — nothing to install, nothing to sign up for on the free tier.
The connection is peer-to-peer and end-to-end encrypted, meaning your screen data doesn't pass through or get stored on Sharry's servers. It works in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, and sessions are protected by a password-protected session ID. It's built commercially on top of an established open-source screen-sharing project (Sharry, GPLv3-licensed, ~1.3k GitHub stars, maintained by a single developer since well before this hosted version existed).

Against Zoom, Google Meet, or Chrome Remote Desktop, Sharry's whole pitch is friction removal: no account, no install, no full video-call UI, just a screen and a link. The trade-off shows up fast, though — the free tier caps sessions at 5 minutes with a single viewer, which is barely enough for a quick demo, and the underlying open-source project has exactly one maintainer, which matters if you're relying on this for anything beyond casual one-off sharing. The Pro tier is currently free during an Early Access period (normally €9/month), so right now there's little reason not to use the better tier while it lasts — just don't build a business-critical workflow on a single-maintainer P2P tool with no server-side fallback if the connection drops.
