Most task apps are good at storing a to-do list and bad at the actual hard part: deciding when in your real week each task should happen. Nudge Task tries to solve that specific problem — you type or paste your tasks in plain text, tell it your sleep/meal/gym routine once, and it auto-schedules everything around what you've already committed to, re-planning automatically each morning if something slipped.

The short version: Nudge Task's actual differentiator isn't the AI scheduling itself — Motion and Reclaim already do that — it's the Money Lock feature, a real financial penalty for missing a deadline, which is a genuinely different bet on what makes people actually finish things.
Against Motion (~$19-34/month) and Reclaim (~$8-19/month), Nudge Task's $20/month sits mid-pack on price without an obviously deeper scheduling engine — the plain-text Quick Create and Dawn Sweep morning re-plan are nice conveniences but not unique. The Money Lock mechanic is the interesting bet: behavioral-economics research does support loss-aversion penalties as a completion driver, but it's also the kind of feature that only works if you actually trust the product enough to attach real money to it, which is a harder sell for a brand-new, solo-built tool with no visible free tier to build that trust first. No free plan at all (only a $5 first-month promo) is a real barrier to trying it.
