Suprascribe
Subscription tracker that scans your inbox to find recurring charges, no bank access needed.
🔗 Visit SuprascribeDescription
Suprascribe reads through your email inbox — receipts, renewal notices, billing confirmations — and builds a complete list of every subscription you're paying for, the way a good accountant would flip through a year of statements to find the recurring charges you forgot about, except it does it in seconds and never touches your bank account.
It connects via Gmail OAuth (or other IMAP inboxes) and only reads billing-related emails, not personal messages. Beyond discovery, it offers renewal reminders, unsubscribe shortcuts, spending analytics, and multi-currency support. Pricing is unusual for the category: a free basic tier for manual tracking, then one-time purchases (€5 for a single inbox scan, €20 for full Pro auto-discovery) rather than a recurring subscription — a deliberate choice for a tool whose whole purpose is fighting subscription creep.
💬 Our review
The short version: Suprascribe's one-time-payment pricing is the most honest thing about it — a subscription tracker that doesn't ask you to start yet another subscription is a genuinely good idea, even if the tool itself is still small and unproven.
Rocket Money and similar apps do the same inbox/bank scanning but charge an ongoing subscription (ironic, given the category) and also offer bill-negotiation services Suprascribe doesn't. Suprascribe's inbox-only approach (no bank linking required) is also a lighter-weight, more privacy-conscious ask than apps that want read access to your full transaction history. At only 11 GitHub stars and a small team, it's clearly early-stage — the core discovery feature works as advertised, but don't expect the polish or the bill-negotiation extras of a funded competitor like Rocket Money.
