Description

On any long project, the hardest questions to answer months later are often "why did we decide that?" or "what breaks if we change this now?" — and the answer usually lives scattered across old chat threads, forgotten docs, and people's memories. Compilr Studio tries to fix that by giving both your team and your AI assistants one shared "project brain" that stays consistent as the project evolves.

Compilr Studio is an AI-assisted project documentation platform that maintains a unified graph connecting a project's vision, objectives, requirements, work items, decisions, risks, and assumptions. It integrates via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) with existing AI assistants, so agents can read from and write to the project graph directly instead of needing a separate manual data-entry step, and it recalculates consistency checks and impact analysis ("what breaks if this objective moves?") automatically on every view.

💬 Our review

The short version: Compilr Studio's bet is that AI agents should write directly into your project's living documentation instead of humans manually keeping a wiki in sync — and the MCP integration is what makes that plausible.

Compared to Notion or Confluence, which are general-purpose docs tools that AI agents can only edit indirectly, Compilr Studio is purpose-built around a structured graph (objectives, decisions, risks, work) with automated consistency checking baked in, rather than free-form pages. Against Linear, which tracks work items well but doesn't model the reasoning behind decisions, Compilr Studio's differentiator is explicitly preserving the "why" — rejected options, contextual audits, and cross-links between decisions and the work they affect. The catch is that it's currently an invite-only private beta with no public pricing, so there's no way to try it without an invite, and any tool this new carries real uncertainty about long-term support and stability. Worth watching if you're already frustrated by decision archaeology on AI-assisted projects; not yet an option if you need something you can sign up for today.
