Description

Typing out long prompts to an AI coding assistant breaks your flow, especially when you're mid-thought about a bug or a design choice. SKI removes the keyboard from that step: you talk, it transcribes and sends your words to whichever AI coding tool you're using, and you can even interrupt it mid-sentence the way you'd interrupt a colleague — because it runs speech recognition and voice synthesis entirely on your own device, nothing is uploaded to the cloud.

It supports multiple AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI and others), with multi-agent support that binds a distinct voice channel per project, full-duplex echo cancellation for real interruption, global hotkeys, and offline operation. A meeting transcriber can record mic and system audio locally, and an optional AgentCall feature lets an agent join video calls (Google Meet, Teams, Zoom) with calendar auto-join, billed per minute on top of an otherwise free core product. An approve-before-send review mode lets you check the transcript before it's sent to the assistant.

💬 Our review

The short version: if voice already feels natural for talking through a coding problem but typing to your AI assistant keeps breaking that rhythm, SKI's local, interruption-friendly voice layer is a low-risk way to try it — the core product is free, and nothing leaves your machine unless you opt into the paid meeting feature.

Against typing directly into Claude Code or Cursor's own interface, SKI adds a genuine ergonomic layer for people who think out loud, at zero cost for the core feature — a rare thing in a category full of paid transcription SaaS. Against a general cloud dictation tool like Otter.ai, SKI's local-only processing is the clear differentiator for developers wary of sending code discussions to a third-party server. The AgentCall video-meeting feature is a genuinely novel idea but per-minute billing means it's worth testing on the free included hours before assuming it fits your workflow.
