If you've ever switched Claude accounts — moved from a personal plan to a work organization, or consolidated multiple logins — you've probably hit the annoying reality that your session history doesn't follow you. Claude Transplant is a small macOS utility built specifically to solve that: it moves your Claude Code / Claude Desktop conversation history from one account to another, preserving the actual transcripts instead of leaving them stranded behind.
It ships as both a command-line tool and a native macOS menubar app, using atomic file operations so a migration either fully succeeds or leaves nothing half-broken. A receipt-based undo system lets you reverse a completed move, and a --cloud flag adds reconciliation support for Remote Control sessions. It's macOS 13+ only, requires Claude Desktop installed and signed into the destination account, and — since it relies on undocumented Claude Desktop internals — is inherently at risk of breaking if Anthropic changes those endpoints.

The honest risk is fragility: it depends on undocumented Claude Desktop behavior, so a future Claude Desktop update could silently break it, and some things (Remote Control ownership, artifact versions, share links) simply don't transfer regardless. Worth using if you're actively juggling multiple Claude accounts/orgs on macOS and want your history to follow you; irrelevant if you only ever use one account.
