Video calls with people who speak a different language usually mean someone struggling in their second language, or an awkward pause for a human interpreter. MeeLang is a Chrome extension that listens to a live Google Meet call and shows AI-translated subtitles in real time — in over 30 languages — so everyone can follow along in their own language without leaving the meeting.
It's built for multilingual teams and international meetings, aiming for sub-400ms latency so the subtitles feel close to real-time rather than lagging noticeably behind the conversation. Transcripts are kept private in the browser rather than sent to a shared server for storage. Support for Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Webex is planned but not yet available — today it only works with Google Meet.
