The pricing is genuinely competitive on paper (zero markup on model costs), but it's spread across three different meters — Teams seats, AI inference credits, and cloud compute by the second — so a team should model actual usage before assuming it's cheaper than a flat-fee competitor. Best fit: developers and teams who want model flexibility, transparency, and to avoid vendor markup, and don't mind assembling their own usage-based budget. Weaker fit: teams that just want one flat monthly price and don't care which model runs underneath — Cursor or GitHub Copilot are simpler in that respect.
