Athena
An AI agent that runs the back-office side of an online store — product listings, orders, ad optimization — through plain-English commands instead of clicking through dashboards.

Running an online store means juggling a dozen small, repetitive jobs — updating product listings, answering order questions, tweaking ad campaigns, checking on fulfillment — usually across several different tools and dashboards. Athena, built by e-commerce platform Shoplazza, is an AI agent that handles a lot of this through natural-language commands: tell it what you want done, and it acts on your store directly.
It bundles an AI store builder with page design and copywriting, AI product image generation (LazzaStudio), ad testing and optimization (AdValet), payments with 180+ methods, loyalty/retention tools, fulfillment services, and integrations with Google, Meta and TikTok, with unlimited product listings and access to 50 markets from one store. Pricing runs on annual plans with a transaction-fee twist: Basic $351/year (2% transaction fee), Advanced $945/year (1% fee), Pro $3,591/year (0.5% fee); a free store-builder preview is available with no credit card, and paid billing only kicks in once the store goes live.
💬 Our review
The short version: Athena bundles a genuinely useful set of AI-driven store operations into Shoplazza's platform, but committing means adopting Shoplazza itself as your storefront, not just adding an AI layer on top of a store you already run elsewhere.
Against Shopify, the default choice for most online sellers with a vastly larger app ecosystem and merchant base, Athena's edge is depth of built-in AI automation — copywriting, image generation, ad optimization — without needing separate paid apps for each; Shopify's own Sidekick AI assistant is comparable in ambition but still newer and less integrated with billing and fulfillment. The declining transaction-fee structure (2% down to 0.5% as you pay more upfront) rewards committing early, which is a real cost if Athena or Shoplazza doesn't end up being the right long-term fit. Worth a serious look for merchants launching a new store who want AI handling day-to-day busywork from day one; existing Shopify merchants with an established app stack have less reason to migrate platforms just for this.
