Zenskar

Zenskar

A billing and revenue-recognition system that promises not to take a cut of your revenue the way some competitors do — you pay a flat subscription instead of a percentage of every dollar you bill.

Description

A lot of modern billing platforms charge a small percentage of the revenue that flows through them, which sounds fine until your revenue grows and the bill grows right alongside it, sometimes faster than your margins can absorb. Zenskar's pitch leads with the opposite: flat subscription pricing, no revenue-share fee, no matter how much you bill through it.

Zenskar is an AI-native platform covering automated invoicing for complex pricing models, revenue recognition with audit compliance, dunning-driven collections, usage metering with prepaid credit management, and an AI contracts agent that ingests invoices and contracts automatically. It offers 100+ integrations (Stripe, Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, Avalara), an analytics dashboard tracking MRR/ARR/LTV/RPO, a free sandbox to test before committing, and raised a $15M Series A, targeting SaaS finance and engineering teams particularly in cloud infrastructure, fintech, AI and e-learning.

💬 Our review

The short version: Zenskar's no-percentage-of-revenue pricing is a genuinely meaningful difference in this category — most usage-based billing competitors (Solvimon, Metronome) charge per-event or a cut of billed volume, so at real scale Zenskar's flat subscription model can end up materially cheaper, and the free sandbox lets you validate that before signing anything.

Against Alguna (also no-code-ish, but charges a flat $699/month Growth tier once you outgrow free) or Solvimon (per-event fees that scale with volume), Zenskar's pitch is specifically for companies that expect high billing volume and don't want their tooling cost to scale linearly with revenue — a real advantage once you're past early stage. The tradeoff is that all three tiers are custom-priced with no public numbers, so despite the no-revenue-share promise you still can't compare exact cost without talking to sales, which undercuts the transparency argument somewhat. Worth it for a growth-stage SaaS company anticipating high billing volume where percentage-of-revenue fees would bite; less compelling for an early-stage team that would benefit more from Alguna's actually-free Starter tier.
